Nina D’Argenzio presents her fall 2018 collection at Fashion on the Square, San Francisco for their 13th Annual Fashion show. She was a featured designer in segment, ‘Fresh Faces’ as an upcoming fashion designer.
This collection was inspired by the spiritual walk of becoming a Christian. The story plays like a Christian’s walk starting with our natural humanity of being ‘born in sin’ and surrendering all to God, with the awakening that we are nothing without our creator. ‘Our righteousness is like filthy rags’, literally created of wearing scraps of sack-cloth. Sack-cloth being represented as a spiritual sacrifice from the Old Testament as a Symbol of humbling ourselves before the presence of our God. Then the collection transitions into to Garments of 'righteousness from within. The garments transition from sack-cloth to garments of a bride, as hidden elements of righteousness are subtlety exposed in symbols woven in and projected from the garments details. Isaiah 61:3
